Technology Requirements for Lexercise Teletherapy

Lexercise® Technology Requirements for Our Therapy

Last Modified: August 14, 2024

  1. For All Therapy Types
    • A reliable network connection
    • Desktop computer or large screen device (laptop, tablet) for child practice
    • A modern, up-to-date web browser (Chrome or Firefox preferred)
    • Headphones
  2. For Basic Therapy
    • You can do without a computer and do everything with a tablet if you want. (We recommend a tablet size that is 10 inches or larger so that the parent-led lessons are easy for the parent and child to see.)
  3. For Professional Therapy
    • A webcam (built-in or external via USB)
    • Speakers for shared audio during sessions
    • A laptop or desktop computer (for screen-sharing)
    • High-speed internet (3+ Mbps down, 1+ Mbps up) Test your speed here
  4. Additional Technology Guidelines

Wired connections are preferable to wireless, due to higher reliability during streaming and game playback. If you find that your screenshares are stuttering or cutting out, you may need to turn off other devices on your network such as TVs and gaming consoles.

  5. Other Materials Needed

    Whiteboard (8” x 11”) and dry-erase markers
